Easter weekend and International Workers’Day: #goboating along the Amalfi Coast!

Friday, 19 April 2019

Take advantage of the upcoming long public holiday and #goboating on the Amalfi Coast! Enjoy the springtime moderate temperatures and the beautiful colours of this slice of Thyrrenian coast.

Eastertide is usually full of events throughout the Amalfitan area as these events are deeply important to us and our culture.

The touching processione dei Battenti (the Beaters’ procession) takes place in Positano, Ravello, Maiori and Minori. In Amalfi, instead, the commemoration of the passion of Christ occurs on Good Friday: faithful believers wearing white hooded tunics illuminate the Dome with their torches. It’s an evocative event not to be missed.

With such a long public holiday and so many destinations to discover as you #goboating, let your passions guide your choice!

Walking outdoors, for example, is a great idea for those who love to explore and discover the Lattari mountains which dominate Amalfi, Praiano and Positano; or you can visit the famous Valle delle Ferriere, a botanical preserve where different species of orchids flourish; lovers of hikes and treks can enjoy the Sentiero degli Dei (The Path of the Gods): a breathtaking 8-km path located between 1500 and 2000 ft above sea level.

Food enthusiasts will not be disappointed either, as they can visit, for instance, the ancient villages of Cetara and Minori and enjoy the popular dish of  fried anchovies, main dishes prepared with the Colatura di Alici (Anchovy Sauce) and, to finish, the sweet Delizia al Limone (Lemon Delight) or the typical Casatiello (Easter bread), both of which will transport your senses to another world!

Food, nature, arts, culture and incredible landscapes to discover as you walk through the charming, winding historic streets of the coastal villages or along the shore of enchanting beaches, still uncrowded.

Salerno, Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi and Positano: where do you want to spend these relaxing days? You choose the destination and we’ll #goboating with you: check the timetable and get ready to enjoy every minute of your holiday!
